		M Series Universal Clamp-On Impact (Hammer Blow) Actuators (10) This M-Series Clamp-On style, which is available in chain or hand operated versions, attaches to the existing hand wheel of the valve. The function of the Impact Operator is to deliver a quick, measured blow - similar to that of a hammer striking an anvil - to either open or close the valve. The force of the blow is carefully calculated to "free-up" the valve without damaging either its internal or external parts. All M-Series models include cast iron Hammer, aluminum Anvil, and carbon steel Set Collar. Clamp-on models are supplied with carbon steel Chain Guide. 		M Series Direct Mount Impact (Hammer Blow) Actuators (12) For overhead valves that tend to stick or are otherwise difficult to operate, or in those cases where fail-safe valve action is critical, the Roto Hammer Impact (Hammer Blow) Operator is recommended. This M Series, which may be chain operated, is available in two styles: 1) Universal Clamp-On, in which the assembly attaches to the existing hand wheel of the valve, or 2) Adapter, in which the assembly replaces the hand wheel, attaching directly to the valve stem or riser.
